The Henry O. Bollman House, 1530 North Ogden Drive, Los Angeles CA. This was the earliest use of the textile block structural method popularized later by Wright's father. Bollman married Virgina Balls in September 1925. Once they got engaged, he sold the house to his parents Otto and Amie.
A&P heir George Huntington Hartford II purchased a mansion on the property in 1942 which later crumbled into ruins. He sold a parcel up the hill to Headley who commissioned Wright to design a house on the ridge - but got only as far as building a stable and garage before running out of cash. In the late 1950s, actor Errol Flynn rented here, throwing many notorious parties. The Louis and Annette Kaufman Remodel, 835 Westholme Avenue, Los Angeles CA. Original house designed in 1935 also by Lloyd Wright. Sold in 2016 to Ramin Gabayan who destroyed it.
Adams, a former Oklahoma oilfield worker, built the house over a four-year period with help from his son, Robert, a 19-year old UCLA geology student using blueprints drawn by Wright. The house was designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1996. Deeded to their son's wife, Barbara, who lived there until around 2009. Sold to Hector and Galesi Semidey. The Otto and Pern Brower House, 523 Chapala Drive, Pacific Palisades CA. Otto Brower directed 45 films including The Santa Fe Trail,Cross Fire, and The Gay Caballero.

The Sisters of Social Services would remain on the grounds until 1987, when California State Parks designated the mansion and the immediate surrounding land as a state historic park. Following the state's decision, the National Park Service declared the mansion as a National Historic Landmark on May 28, 1987. Built in 1856, the mansion was formerly the residence of Leland Stanford, 8th Governor of California and founder of Stanford University. The Stanford family donated the estate to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento in 1900, which maintained a children's home on the estate until 1978. Subsequently, the Californian government purchased the property to serve as the Californian capital's ceremonial reception center and as a state park, officially known as the Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park. Since then, the MAK Center has dedicated the house to small-scale events and the lodging of international cultural researchers visiting Los Angeles for artistic and scholarly pursuits.

Visitors are invited to move, observe, and perceive the house through instructional exercises, fictional meanderings, and guided journeys. The repairs and restoration were completed in 2005, when the mansion opened to the public. California State Parks offers guided tours through the fully refurbished home. The Leland Stanford Mansion is physically accessible, including the gardens, Visitor Center and restrooms. Leland Stanford, president of the Central Pacific Railroad (one of the Big Four tycoons) and a rising member of the Republican Party, purchased the home for $8,000 (equivalent to $271,000 in 2023) in June 1861, shortly before his election as California governor that year.

Tours of the mansion are offered daily but can be impacted by official functions on behalf of the Governor's Office or the California State Legislature leadership. In 1932, the home was handed over the Sisters of Social Service who eventually transformed the mansion from an orphanage to a residence for dependent high school girls. A fire in the mansion in 1940 brought considerable damage to the fourth floor. The Fitzpatrick-Leland House commands a strong presence along the slope of Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive, as the three-story terraced scheme captures the eye with its interplay of protruding canopies beneath.
In 2021, the MAK Center initiated the Designers-in-Residence program in partnership with the Danish Art Foundation. I will agree with some of the reviews that the aircon is a bit average however Texas is hot so it is working hard. As far as location it's about a 10 minute Uber and an hour walk into the city to a lot of popular Austin spots so if you don't want to catch a lot of ubers or walk this may not be the spot for you. The review and assessment by the Commission will include a threat assessment, a detailed review of nuclear weapons policy and strategy of the United States, and recommendations as to the most appropriate strategic posture and most effective nuclear weapons strategy. Per the law, the Commission must submit its final report to Congress and the executive branch by December 31, 2022.
